Hasnat Abdullah, chief organizer of the southern of the National Citizens Party (NCP) regarding Cox’s Bazar visit on Ausgust 5 said, it was a silent protest against “July Declaration”.

He also termed July declaration as incomplete. 

Hasnat replied in response to show cause letter which was served by NCP amid controversies about his Cox’s Bazar visit.

He shared the show-cause response via his verified Facebook account on Thursday (August 7).

Hasnat Abdullah wrote, 'In the final draft of the declaration, I saw some elements that are not in line with the desire for the mass movement.
