‘19-party’s boycott validates Jan 5 polls’ Barrister Nazmul Huda

DHAKA: Bangladesh National Alliance chairman Barrister Nazmul Huda said that 19-party alliance’s boycott gave legitimacy to the election of January 5.

He came up with view while addressing a discussion at the party office in city’s Topkhana road Friday morning.

Criticizing the boycott, Nazmul Huda told there “Only base on suspicion of vote rigging, boycott a national election is not reasonable.”

“19-party alliance was in must-win position before the election and millions of voters were prepared to vote for the alliance especially for BNP in the elections. The voters was deprived of the right to vote poll by boycotting polls by the 19-party,” Nazmul Huda added.

He said there, their boycott gave legitimacy to the election of January 5.

Nazmul huda told that now the BNP-led 19-party alliance has no right to ask about the election.

He also expected that the BNP will follow non-violent way to take part in election next, to win by people’s mandate.
