No dialogue with BNP-Jamaat: Inu

FROM JATIYA SANGSAD: Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu on Monday said dialogue is not possible with “militant, terrorist and corrupts” BNP and its ally Jamaat-e-Islam.

The information minister made the assertion while addressing parliament in the budget on Monday. 

He said, “There will be no election with BNP and Jamaat. Comparing them with formalin mixed fruit.”

“This poisonous fruit is harmful for democracy. So, the insects will be removed by pesticide,” he said.

The lawmaker said most people want dialogue but it would be held to remove militancy and terrorism.

He added: “No one will escape after committing corruption and terrorism. Those are connected in murder and kidnapping they are sending in prison. If we couldn’t check the corruption, how the country is progressing.”

In the regime of Khaleda Zia government corruption was cherished by ‘Hawa Bhaban’. “But we have made Bangladesh as middle income earning country eliminating corruption,” the House was told.

Regarding the budget the budget, he said, “We proved them false in last five years those called the previous budget unreal and incredible. We increased revenue at Tk 75,090 crores which was Tk 14,000 crore in Khaleda Zia tenure.”

He said Khaleda gave the country to the looters in the name of free market economy. But now during the term of Hasina, inflation comes under 10 points, foreign reserve stood over $21 billion and per capita income almost $12,00 in the country.
