Dandy Dyeing case hearing June 25

DHAKA: A money loan court on Wednesday set the hearing of defaulting state-owned Sonali Bank loan of Tk 45.59 crore of Dandy Dyeing Limited against 11 people, including BNP vice-chairman Tarique Rahman on June 25. 

Judge of the court Mohammad Robiuzzaman of first money loan court passed the order.

Lawyer of Sonali Bank Jahangir Alam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The accused are Shams Iskander, Shafin Iskander, Sumaiya Iskander, Nasrin Ahmed, Tarique Rahman, Arafat Rahman, Tarique’s business friend Gias Uddin Al Mamun, Mamun’s wife Shahina Begum, Gazi Galib Abdus Sattar, Shamsun Nahar and Masud Hassan.

On October 2, 2012, Nazrul Islam, senior executive officer of a local branch of Sonali Bank, filed the case.

On February 24, 1993, the Dandy Dyeing Limited applied for the loan and the same year on May 9, Sonali Bank authorities sanctioned the loan.

Meanwhile, in 2001, the bank authorities had noticed to pay the loan but they didn’t.
