JAMALPUR: An activist of Juba League received bullet injury in an attack by miscreants in Islampur municipal area of the district on Friday night.

The injured is- Julhash, 30, an activist of Juba League.

Locals said that at least four to five youths attacked Julhash and opened fire aiming him while he was returning home from Islampur Bazar around 10:30pm, leaving him critically injured. 

Later, he was rushed to Islampur Health Complex and shifted to Mymensingh General Hospital. 

Following the incident, police detained two suspected people named Rakhal Chandra Das, 18, and Akash.

Islampur Thana Officer-in-Charge Kazi Saeedur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
