Rain to decide Khaleda’s rally

FROM KHALEDA’S MOTORCADE: The Joypurhat rally of BNP is depending on weather as it was raining heavily from Saturday.

Locals said that if such bad weather continues then it would be impossible to hold BNP’s rally.

But BNP leaders claimed that the rally will be held by hook or crook where thousands people will join.

Joypurhat District BNP president Mozahar Ali Prodhan told banglanews, “We are hopping that the environment will favour us to hold the rally.”

Amid heavy rain on Saturday, the stage was prepared and hundred chairs were arranged there to accommodate top BNP leaders, he added.

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia was scheduled to visit Joypurhat for first time after 10th parliamentary election.

She will also visit 16 districts in the northern part of the country and she chose Joypurhat to visit first as the activists of the district played a strong role in demonstration demanding restoration of Caretaker Government system.

Khaleda will address in a rally in Joypurhat Ramdeo Bazla Government High School at 3pm.

BNP Vice-Chairman Selina Rahman, Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, among others will join in the journey, BNP office sources said.
