Netrokona BNP leader chopped dead

NETROKONA: Miscreants chopped to death a BNP leader in Sandikona union under Kendua upazila of the district on Wednesday night.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Ali, 55, a president of Sandikona union BNP unit of the upazila.

Sources said that a group of miscreants attacked Ali while he was watching a football match of world cup in a shop nearby his home around 11:30pm, leaving him dead on the spot. 

Confirming the matter, Kendua Thana Officer-in-Charge Aviranjan Dev told banglanews, “The deceased was the main accused of Union Member Samsu killing case.”

Following the matter, additional police men were deployed in the area, he added.
