Bilateral issues discussed, not unilateral

DHAKA: No issues other that the bilateral interests between Bangladesh and India has been discussed with visiting Indian Foreign Minster Sushma Swaraj, said Prime Minster Sheikh Hasina’s two advisors.

PM’s foreign affairs advisor Gowher Rizvi and finance advisor Moshiur Rahman told the journalists after a breakfast meeting with Bangladesh High Commissioner in New Delhi Tariq Karim at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka Hotel of the city on Friday morning.

Gowher said, no unilateral issues were discussed with Sushma, rather the issues related to development and interests between India and Bangladesh were discussed.”

Replying another query, Moshiur said, “Sushma made no comments on the January 5 polls, as it is an internal issue of Bangladesh.”

Quoting Sushma he said, “Indian people will elect their government and Bangladeshi people will their government too.”
