Juba Dal man dies in Jessore jail

JESSORE: A Juba Dal man died in Jessore Central Jail on Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Samiuz-zamam Ujjol, 38, activist of district Ward No-3 unit Juba Dal, also former joint secretary of Chhatra Dal.

Ujjol, son of late Monieuzzaman of Ghop Nowapara of the district town, who had been suffering from liver cirrhosis, fell sick at the jail in the morning.

He was rushed to the Jessore Medical College Hospital where doctor pronounced him dead.

Local sources said police arrested Ujjol weeks ago in a case related to violence.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Kotwali Thana Sub-Inspector Swapon Kumar Das said, “The body has been kept in the hospital morgue for autopsy.”

“The body will be handed over to the family after finishing the post mortem,” added Swapon.
