LAXMIPUR: A leader of Juba Dal, the youth wing of BNP, was found dead in a pond of Mohammadpur village of Mandari union under Sadar upazila of the district on Thursday noon.

The deceased was identified as Mizan alias Bomb Mizan, Joint Secretary of Mandari union Juba Dal.

Mandari Union Parisad Chairman Mahmudul Karim Dipu said that after getting a phone call, the victim came out of home on Wednesday night and went missing from then.

Later on Thursday noon, seeing the floating body in a pond of the village, locals informed police.

Chandraganj Thana Officer-in-Charge Syed Mohammad Nur confirmed the matter to banglanews.
