DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Monday paid tributes to party founder and late President Ziaur Rahman, marking BNP’s 30th founding anniversary.

Khaleda along with party leaders and activists placed wreaths at the grave in Sher-e Bangla Nagar around 11:15 am.

She offered fateha and took part in a munajat with the party leaders-activists, seeking divine blessings and eternal peace of the departed soul of Ziaur Rahman.

Later, Chhatra Dal, Juba Dal, Swechha Sebak Dal, Mahila Dal, Krishak Dal, Sromik Dal men placed floral wreaths.

Besides, Begum Khaleda Zia inaugurated a blood donation program on the occasion.
