DHAKA: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir termed the incumbent Awami League government ‘giant’.

He also called upon the party-men to protect the country from the ‘giant’.

The spokesperson for the party came up with the assertion while addressing program marking Tarique Rahman’s 7th release day organized by Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal in city’s Engineers Institution.

Addressing the leaders and activists of Chhatra Dal, he said all have to be united to serve the duties and defeated the giant like government.

When Tarique will come in Bangladesh the young generation will embrace him with joy, he observed.

The BNP leader also said Tarique would be the unanimous leader of the country.

With Chhatra Dal President Abdul Quader in the chair, the function was addressed, among others, by adviser to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia Shamsuzzaman Dudu and BNP organizing Secretary Fazlul Haque Milon.
