DHAKA: A Dhaka court here on Monday deferred the hearing on charge framing against 26 BNP top leaders, including party’s acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, till October 12.

Justice Tarek Mainul Bhuiyan of Dhaka CMM court passed the order on Wednesday in response to time petition filed by Fakhrul’s lawyer Sanaullah Miah and Mohsin Miah.

The case was filed on March 3 with Paltan Thana under Speedy Trial Act on charge of creating anarchy and disturbance in the area.

The case was filed against Mirza Fakhrul, standing committee member Mirza Abbas, joint secretary general Aman Ullah Aman and 23 other leader.
