LAXMIPUR: Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad, also former President of the country, on Thursday categorically said the age of BNP has finished and godfathers are reigning in the ruling Awami League.

He also claimed that these two political parties cannot bring any peace for the country.

Former President made the remarks in a meeting at Laxmipur in the afternoon.

He also claimed if Tarique Zia returns then anarchy and bombing will be rampant in the country.

He also demanded that the highest level of the development was done in the tenure of JP government. The development level will be increased if JP comes in power, he added.

The JP chairman also criticized the ruling Awami League saying that the eligible candidates are not getting jobs where ineligible candidates are getting jobs by giving bribes or political recommendations.

Water resource minister and presidium member of Jatiya Party Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud and Secretary General of the party Ziauddin Bablu among other party leaders were present in the program.
