DHAKA: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi went to London as a special envoy to his party chief Khaleda Zia.

The BNP leader left Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday morning.

A competent source from the party said Rizvi is scheduled to meet Khaleda’s son and also BNP senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman to inform him the current political situation in the country as well as to convey a message of Khaleda.

However, BNP is keeping Rizvi’s London visit a secret, the source added.

None of BNP Nayapaltan Headquarters and Gulshan office is talking about this matter.

But, a Chhatra Dal leader close to BNP Gulshan office confirmed Rizvi’s London visit to banglanews.
