DHAKA: Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu on Sunday said digital Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is facing the analog and also pro-militant BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia. 

The minister made the comment while addressing program of award giving ceremony to division-district-upazila-union parishad best information portal in city’s BIAM Auditorium on New Eskatan Road on Sunday noon.

Mentioning militancy as one of the four principal challenges of the incumbent government, Inu said Hasina is encountering Khaleda to prevent militancy.

Moreover, terming technology as a glass house, he said transparency is main issue in this sector.

He commented that along with sunlight, insects also come to the house.

The collaborators of the insects made anarchy when initiatives had been taken to remove them, Inu added.

The lawmaker also said the cyber crime has gradually been increasing as there are vast areas of information technology.

A new comprehensive cyber crime prevention act would be introduced soon, he added.

With acting cabinet secretary Mohammad Nazrul in the chair, the function was also addressed, among others, by State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak and PM's Principal Secretary Abdus Sobhan Sikder.
