FROM JATIYA SANGSAD: State Minister for LGRD Moshiur Rahman Ranga MP, also Jatiya Party leader, and Opposition Chief Whip Tajul Islam Chowdhury almost locked into a scuffle with JP Secretary General Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu at Jatiya Sangsad lobby in the evening.

During the Maghrib prayer break of JS session, Ranga and Tajul locked into a heated debate with Bablu and Barrister Anisul over the decision of JP Chairman HM Ershad taken on Wednesday to oust the two leaders from the party’s presidium post.

Wishing anonymity, Jatiya Party sources told banglanews that Ranga and Tajul blamed Bablu for influencing Ershad to take decisions against them.

“Indicating Bablu, Ranga shouted, “You have emerged as a big leader of the party at present. Why have you dissolved the party’s Rangpur district committee? It is you who have convinced the chairman to relieve us from presidium,”” sources added.

In reply, Bablu said, “I don’t know anything about this. It is the party chief who has taken those decisions.”

At this time, Ranga uttered some indecent language saying that he is running the party at Rangpur region by giving large amount of donation to the party fund.

Tajul joined the heated debate and assaulted the JP secretary general.

Indicating today’s press conference organised by Bablu at the Banani office of the party, Tajul questioned Bablu, “How dare you calling me a war criminal? I was elected as lawmaker for seven times. No one ever uttered such things. Why are you then spreading lies against me?”

“You are doing everything to be the deputy leader of the Opposition at JS,” Bablu alleged.

However, in a press briefing at Banani party office, JP Secretary General Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu claimed there was no internal clash in the party now.

He also demanded that the party is stronger than any other time in the past.

On the other hand, Ranga and Tajul later went to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s office at JS and informed her about the matter.
