JS sitting resumes

DHAKA: The sitting of the third session of the 10th Parliament resumed at 5:10pm on Sunday after a two-day recess with Deputy Speaker M Fazle Rabbi Mia in the chair.

The day's proceedings began with recitation from the Holy Quran.

Deputy Speaker M Fazle Rabbi Mia is presiding over the tenth day of the session.

The session includes join general question-answer event by the ministers.

They are scheduled to join in a general discussion over bill report of 16th amendment of constitution about legislative functions.

They will also discuss the notice to concentrate the important issues for public on rules 71.

Besides, Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (amendment) Bill 2014 is expected to be passed in this session.

The first session of the 10th parliament started on January 29 and ended on April 10.

The second session (budget session) started on June 3 and prolonged to July 3. The budget of 2014-15 fiscal year was approved on June 29.

Jatiya Party, as part of the government and main opposition party, joined the parliament, from the first day of the maiden session.
