DHAKA: A new committee of BNP’s students wing Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) is likely to be announced on Tuesday making Akramul Hasan it president, said a reliable source of the party.

Decision on the committee was made at a meeting of BNP led by its chairperson Khaleda Zia on Monday night.

BNP joint secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed, Salauddin Ahmed and student affairs secretary Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee attended the meeting.

The meeting sources said either Mamunur Rashid or Razib Ahsan would be made general secretary of the committee.

Both Akramul and Mamunur hold the post of joint secretary in the existing committee while Razib is the organizing secretary.
