KHULNA: Police detained a women leader of Jamaat-e-Islami and six activists of Chhatra Shibir from Sonadanga Thana road area of the district on Friday morning. 

The detainees are - Mohammad Nagar Mahila Kamil Madrasa principal also Jamaat’s women leader Humayra Begum, Shibir activists Arif Hossain, Tauhid Omar, Abu Bakar, Sabbir Hossain, Ruhul Amin and Rumi. 

Meanwhile, Jihadi books, a cocktail, a knife and some mobile phone SIM were recovered the spot. 

Sonadanga Thana Officer-in-Charge Maruf Ahmed confirmed the matter to banglanews.
