DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Sunday sent Mahtabuddin Ahmed Chowdhury Minar, the prime accused in the case filed for the murder of Fulgazi upazila chairman Ekramul Haque, to jail.

Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbubur Rahman passed the order after he was produced before the court. Minar did not file any bail plea.

Thana GRO Liakot Ali confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Earlier, Minar was arrested again from BIRDEM Hospital in the city on Saturday midnight.

On July 17, Minar was released on bail due to his illness and admitted to Bangladesh Institute of Research & Rehabilitation in Diabetes, Endocrine and Metabolic Disorders (BIRDEM) hospital.
