SYLHET: Murari Chand (MC) College authority postponed the Masters Admission form fill-up after receiving threat from local Chhatra League which has put the applicants in severe dilemma. 

MC College sources said, around 300 students came to fill up their Masters Admission form as it was scheduled to start form Wednesday.

But, the college authority postponed the form fill up as former president of district Chhatra League Hiron Mahmud Nipu asked the principal of the college, over mobile phone, to postpone the admission process as long as the BCL activists were not given chances of admission.

Wishing anonymity, several students told banglanews that they have discussed the matter with Nitai Chandra Chanda, principal of the college, who expressed his inability to move forward.

MC College Principal Nitai Chandra Chanda confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Banglanews correspondent did not find Hiron Mahmud Nipu when he called to confirm the matter.
