Greedy people leave alliance, says Fakhrul

DHAKA: BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir claimed that some greedy politicians left 20-party alliance but it is still unbroken.

“Many of our countrymen are greedy, so there are some in our party. Our alliance is unbroken though some greedy people have left,” he said.

The spokesperson for the party came up with the claim while addressing the National Council of Jatiya Bastuhara Dal at the National Press Club in the capital on Thursday.

Indicating those who have left the alliance, he added: “They have fallen down from the ideology. Those leaders will be lost someday from the main stream.”

BNP Advisory Council Member Abdul Mannan, Joint Secretary General M Shahjahan, International Affairs Secretary Nazimuddin and Education Affairs Secretary Khairul Kabir Khokon also spoke.
