DHAKA: Immigration police detained Habibur Rashid Habib, General Secretary of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, student wing of BNP, from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the city on Saturday.

Sources said that he was scheduled to go to abroad and immigration police held him from the airport.

BNP chairperson's media wing member Sairul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter to banglanews.

After detention, the JCD leader was taken to Airport Thana, said Malmunur Rahman, Sub Inspector of the thana.
