MUNSHIGANJ: Miscreants have hacked an activist of Jubo League, youth wing of ruling Awami League, to death in Baghra area under Srinagar upazila of the district on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Shamsu, 22, son of one late Soleman Pathan, hailed from the area.

Local sources said people found the beheaded body of Shamsu on the bank of a pond behind the Baghra Puja Pandal around 9:00pm and informed police about it.

Sub-Inspector of Srinagar Thana Arfan confirmed the matter to banglanews.

We have sent the body to Munshiganj Hospital morgue, he added.
