Govt survives on speeches only: Rizvi

KURIGRAM: BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi commented that the government is surviving on speeches and statements.

He made the remark at his residence in Sardar Para of Kurigram on Thursday.

The BNP leader said that the ministers and MPs of the incumbent government are doing nothing for the people without giving speeches.

According to him, the government has failed to provide the safety and security to the people.

He also said that the ruling party is afraid of arranging a free and fair poll now.

Rizvi hoped that the government will be compelled to resign on the demands and demonstrations of people.

He further demanded a free and fair election shortly under the caretaker government.

Kurigram BNP senior vice president Abu Bakar Siddique, former MP Umar Faruq, vice president Mostafizar Rahman and joint general secretary Hasibur Rahman Hasib, among others, were also present there.
