Law minister’s effigy burnt at press club

DHAKA: An effigy of Law Minister Advocate Anisul Haque was burnt in front of the National Press Club on Tuesday morning protesting his remark favoring Brac University professor Dr Piash Karim.

Leaders-activists of Jatiya Ganatantrik League, Kazi Aref Foundation, Bangladesh Online Activist Forum (BOAF) and Krishak Sramik Party (KSP) burnt the effigy around 11:00am. 

They said that giving the speech favoring Piash Karim, the law minister created confusion among the people of the country which is ill motivated. 

With Jatiya Ganatantrik League president M.A Jalil in the chair, Kazi Aref Foundation president Kazi Masud Ahmed, Krishak Sramik Party (KSP) president Lion Salam Mahmud and others were attended in the program.
