DHAKA: BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas, also Dhaka city convener, held a meeting with the post-deprived leaders of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) on Tuesday.

The meeting started at 3:30pm at the residence of Mirza Abbas.

Earlier on Monday, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir also had a meeting with the post-deprived leaders at Nayapaltan central office.

Mirza Fakhrul disclosed nothing before journalists after the meeting.

Earlier on Monday, Mirza Abbas told that these internal problems are not very serious. It will be solved soon by the guidelines of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia.

Mirza Abbas also advised his party leaders and activists to follow the order of the party chief.

Earlier on October 14, the 201-member committee of the pro-BNP student body was announced.

After that there were sporadic clashes among the followers of leaders who got posts and who were deprived of post in newly formed JCD committee. Several leaders and activists of JCD were injured in the clashes.

However, post-deprived leaders also demanded a fresh committee after abolishing the newly formed JCD committee.
