Barrister Fakhrul contempt to court case defers Feb 18

DHAKA: International Crime Tribunal-(ICT)-1 deferred until February 18 the over on contempt of court case of Barrister Fakhrul Islam, lawyer of convicted war criminal BNP standing committee member Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury.

A three-member team, led by ICT chairman Justice M Enayetur Rahim passed the order on Thursday.

Fakhrul, who was arrested on November 20 in 2013, is currently in jail in accusation of leaking the draft of Salauddin Quader’s verdict that sentenced the BNP leader to death.

On January 14, 2013, the ICT-1 issued a show-cause notice in accusation of interfering judicial process.
