SYLHET: Two rival groups of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), student affiliate of the ruling Awami League, have been locked into clashes at Sylhet Agricultural University (SAU) on Sunday.

Sources told banglanews that the clashes started around 10:00pm.

The followers of SAU Chhatra League president Shamim Molla and general secretary Hrithik Deb Apu, at that time, involved in clashes centering control over residential halls, sources added.

However, according to the sources, at least 12 activists of the two groups have been injured there and the clashes are still going on at SAU when the report was filed around 11:45pm.
