DHAKA: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) vice chairman Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury has been detained by detective branch (DB) of police on Thursday night.

Plainclothes police picked him up from his Banani DOHS house in the capital around 11:00pm, sources told banglanews.

The BNP leader, however, is being taken to Mintoo Road DB office, sources added.
