DHAKA: Law enforcers detained Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) assistant office secretary Shamimur Rahman Shamim from city’s Dhanmondi area on Monday evening.

A joint team of police and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained him from Shankar Bus Stand area around 5:15pm.

BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s media wing officer Shamsuddin Didar, told banglanews.

The reason behind his capture could not be known immediately, he added.
