GAIBANDHA: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s student affiliation Islami Chhatra Shibir called a half-day hartal for Saturday in the district.

Sources told banglanews that the strike has been called protesting arrest of the party leaders and activists without any warrant.

Shibir district unit president Abu Hashem, however, confirmed the hartal.

He, while talking with banglanews on Friday night, said that the shut down will be observed till 12:00pm starting from the dawn.
