RAJSHAHI: Islami Chhatra Shibir has called 48-hour hartal from 6:00am Wednesday in Rajshahi division after one of their activists killed in road crash when tried to flee from custody of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab).

The hartal announcement was made on Tuesday noon through a press after an emergency meeting of regional leaders.

However, Shibir leaders claimed Rab personnel detained Asadullah Tuhin, student of Chapainawabganj City College, on Monday from his house and his body was found at Sadar Hospital of the district.

They also condemned terming it an extrajudicial killings.
