DHAKA: BNP-led 20-party has called daylong hartal for Thursday in Dhaka and eight other districts protesting case against Khaleda Zia and remand order against acting secretary general of the party Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

The other districts are Gazipur, Narayanganj, Munshiganj, Manikganj, Tangail, Kishoreganj, Narsingdi and Mymensingh.

Organizing Secretary of Dhaka Division Fazlul Haque Milon made the announcement of the shutdown on Wednesday afternoon, said Media Wing of the BNP chairperson.

BNP Chief Khaleda Zia has been made accused of instigating petrol bomb attack in separate cases in Jatrabari of Dhaka and Chaddugram of Comilla district.

In the meantime, a Dhaka court granted 3-day remand against BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam in a vandalism case.
