BNP threatens non-stop hartal

DHAKA: BNP threatened the government of nonstop hartal if phone, cable TV and internet connections of Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan office are not restored immediately.

A press release signed by party’s joint secretary general Salahuddin Ahmed made the forewarning on Sunday evening.

Electricity, phone, cable TV and internet connections of the office were cut off on Saturday. However, the electricity was restored later in the night.

Meanwhile, BNP-led 20-party alliance has been observing nonstop 72-hour hartal.
