NATORE: At least four people, including district Sadar Thana Jubo Dal president Mamtaj, were injured in a blast while they were making petrol bombs in Nischintapur village of the upazila on Wednesday afternoon.

The other injured are Jewel, Sajal, and Mahfuz. They are assistants of Mamtaj, hailed from Duttapara village of the upazila.

Superintendent of Police (SP) of Natore Basudev Banik told banglanews that, on information, police and RAB personnel went to the spot but the injured and house owner Kalam managed to flee the scene.

He added: “Law enforcers recovered a pistol, 10 rounds of bullet, and four petrol bombs.”

SP Basudev Banik also said they were taking legal steps in this regard.
