DHAKA: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel detained three people with some 18 cocktails from Kalabagan area of the city on Sunday night.
Lieutenant Colonel SM Masud Rana, Commanding Officer of RAB-2, made the disclosure while talking to journalists on Monday noon.
SM Masud Rana said that a driver, Abdul Kader, was caught red handed while he was hurling cocktail in city’s Panthapath area around 7:30pm on Sunday.
Later, in a primary interrogation, he unveiled the name of two of his cohorts who were detained later from Kalabagan area.
The law enforcers also recovered 18 cocktails from their residence.
The RAB officer added that the detainees are involved in subversive acts in the city in exchange of money.
Normally, they get Tk 5,000 for each cocktail blast. The money is provided by political leaders, SM Masud Rana said quoting the detainees.
He also said that the patrons of saboteurs were identified and legal actions would be taken against them.
