DHAKA: Police detained the former president of Hazaribagh thana unit of Chhatra Dal and another leader of BNP in Dhaka Friday night (February 2). 

Mohamad Ullah Palash, the ex Chhatra Dal leader and Mamun, the other detainee, were nabbed from Hazaribagh area at around 10:30pm, said Hazaribagh Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mir Alimuzzaman.

However, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is expected to attend an executive meeting at Le Meridien Hotel in the capitals’ Khilkhet Saturday (February 3).
