DHAKA: BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that the program announced by the government to celebrate development is nothing but a mockery.

“The government says that no programs will be allowed those create woes to the people. But, now they themselves are playing lead role to create sufferings for the commoners”, he said.

Rizvi was addressing a press briefing at BNP central party office in Nayapaltan Thursday (March 22).

Rizvi further said that the whole Dhaka city is facing deadlock across all the roads and the public life is completely disregarded, due to the government program in name of development.

However, celebration begins Thursday across the country to mark the historic achievement of Bangladesh-- graduating from the group of LDCs.

Processions are scheduled to be brought out in the afternoon from nine places of the capital city, to celebrate the achievement.
