DHAKA: Four physicians of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) have examined the health condition of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia who is now in jail after being convicted in a graft case.

The doctors are- Orthopedic Department chief Professor Dr. Shamsuzzaman, Dr. Mansur Habib (Neurology), Titu Mia (Medicine) and Soheli Rahman (Physical Medicine).

They went to Dhaka central jail around 1:15pm and inspected Khaleda Zia’s health for an hour. 
Later Dr. Md. Shamsuzzaman told Banglanews that some problems were identified in her (Khaleda Zia) leg and is being treated accordingly. 

DMCH director Brigadier General AKM Nasiruddin told Banglanews that the doctors were sent to jail as per a written application from the jail authority. 

On the other hand, BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir held a press conference in Naya Paltan party office on Friday (March 30) demanding the release of Khaleda Zia for better treatment abroad.
