NARAYANGANJ: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that BNP itself doesn’t want the return of their acting Chairperson Tarique Zia to the country.
Obaidul Quader, also, the Road Transport and Bridges Minister came up with this remark in a crowd after visiting Araihazar Road on Bhulta Highway of Narayanganj on Saturday (April 28).
“So far we have been hearing that Tarique Zia went to London for treatment. Now, we hear a different speech that Tarique Zia has left the country, saying he would not do politics any longer. BNP too doesn’t like his return,” Obaidul Quader said.
Quoting BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s speech “Awami League could not come to power even in a hundred years,” he said, “Awami League is in power most of the time by the way. BNP will stage movement this year or that year, after the Eid al-Fitr or Eid al-Adha. They can’t six it.”
Nazrul Islam Babu, MP of Narayanganj-2 constituency, and Shahjahan Mia, Chairman of Aarihazar upazila were also present at that time.
