DHAKA: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said the ongoing anti-narcotics drive will now focus on finding out the drug kingpins belong to BNP.

He also said, “BNP has formed a new committee in Dhaka North City Corporation area. As I learnt from newspapers, there are a lot of drug dealers in that committee. Uncompromised drive has to be continued against them (drug dealers) to save young generation.”  

Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, made the remarks in a seminar held at the auditorium of National Museum in the city on Tuesday (June 5).

The seminar was organized on the occasion of ‘World Environment Day-2018,’ by Awami League's Forest and Environmental sub committee.  

“Teknaf municipality councilor Akramul Haque Akram was killed in ‘crossfire.’ Whose man is Akram? You (BNP) have drug lords among you. Now they will be searched for,” Quader said.
