DHAKA: Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh president and United Front chairman AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury has urged the government for sending BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, who is now in jail, to London for better treatment.
He made the call at an iftar party organized by Bangladesh Jana Dal (BJD) at Child Welfare Council auditorium in Dhaka on Sunday (June 10).
Badruddoza said, “I have read in newspaper that Khaleda Zia was unconscious for 7 minutes in jail. If it’s true then she had suffered Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) when blood flow in the bran decreases significantly. In such cases, the risk of future brain stroke or paralysis is very high and she should be treated in best neurological center.”
He also said Khaleda should get the best treatment considering her political and social status as she was the Prime Minister of Bangladesh for three times and the opposition leader.
“Considering her physical condition, I recommend that the government should send her to The UCL Institute of Neurology or Hammersmith Hospital in London”, he added.
