DHAKA: Awami League has picked Shahina Akhter Chowdhury, wife of Abdur Rahman Bodi, to contest in the upcoming national polls from Cox’s Bazar-4 (Teknaf-Ukhia). 

Shahina on Sunday (Nov 25) was given a letter confirming her nomination from the ruling party.

Awami League has been distributing nomination letters to its nominated candidates since the morning.

Shahina has been chosen instead of her husband due to controversial image of Bodi.
