DHAKA: Popular singer Monir Khan has resigned from BNP after being rejected of party nomination to contest in the 11th parliamentary elections.
He stepped down as BNP’s central committee co-cultural affairs secretary on Sunday (Dec 9).

An aggrieved Monir Khan made the announcement of his resignation at a press briefing Sunday afternoon.
BNP sources said Jhenaidah District Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh Secretary Matiar Rahamn will run for the constituency.
