DHAKA: BNP ruled out Awami League’s allegation that acting BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman, who is now residing in London, was conspiring against the country by holding meetings with senior officials of Inter-Services Intelligence of Pakistan.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir also demanded withdrawal of Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader’s speech terming it ‘propaganda’.
Otherwise, he will go for legal action, Mirza Fakhrul also told reporters at a press briefing from party Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan office on Monday (December 10).
Mirza Fakhrul said, “I want to make it clear that BNP has no relations with any organization or any country. Such a speech is an assault on political conduct, especially from a responsible person like AL General Secretary.”
“I demand immediate withdrawal of his speech,” Mirza Fakhrul added.
