DHAKA: Ganasanghati Andolan Chief Coordinator Junaid Saki has started his campaign for 11th parliamentary elections. 

He is contesting from Dhaka-12 constituency with ‘spade’ symbol.

On Tuesday (Dec 11), Saki has paid tribute to the martyrs of 1952 Language Movement by placing floral wreath at National Shaheed Minar, to mark the occasion.   

Later, he formally launched the campaign from New Eskaton, around 12pm.

Dhaka University (DU) ex faculty Prof Dr Ahmed Kamal, Biplobi Workers’ Party General Secretary Saiful Haque, United Communist League General Secretary Mosharraf Hossain Nannu, among others, accompanied Saki.

On the day of opening, Saki also met voters in Karwanbazar, in the afternoon.

The 11th national elections are slated to be held on Dec 30.
