NOAKHALI: Criminals shot a Jubo League leader to death at Aujbalia union in Sadar upazila of the district on Tuesday (Dec 11).

The deceased was identified as Md Hanif, general secretary of ward unit Jubo League in Aujbalia union. 

Family members alleged that Hanif was shot to death by his political rivals at South Charshullukia village in the afternoon, said Anwar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Sudharam Police Station.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Noakhali General Hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC added.
