RAJBARI: Awami League President also Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said another bridge will be constructed over Padma river if her party comes to power once again.  

On Thursday (Dec 13), she was addressing a rally at Rajbari-Daulatdia ferry ghat, as part of her campaign for the upcoming parliamentary elections. 

“We will construct 2nd Padma Bridge, if needed, if we come to power. But construction of the first one has to be completed at first. Then the second one will be constructed,” she said.

She urged the people to vote for her party symbol ‘boat’, to make it happen.

She told the rally to elect her party candidates Kazi Keramat Ali (Rajbari-1) and Jillur Hakim (Rajbari-2).

However, construction of the first Padma Bridge is underway.
